Commonly asked questions
HOW MANY CINEMATOGRAPHERS WILL BE AT OUR WEDDING DAY?
WHAT AREAS DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICE?
We always recommend at least two cinematographers at your wedding. Your coverage will be more comprehensive and your video will have more dimension in that it’ll be shot from an additional perspective. This is great for angle changes for important moments, such as the ceremony, speeches, or formal dance—moments where the focus is on the couple. And because the assistant’s primary role is to shoot b-roll, that also provides a greater opportunity to catch those great reaction shots from the guests.
We're based out of Los Angeles, California, but we film all over the world. We will go above and beyond to travel to your destination to make sure your wedding day is a memorable one. Contact us and we'll get you more information.

DO YOU PUT A LAV MIC ON BOTH THE GROOM AND THE BRIDE?
DO YOU RECORD THE AUDIO FOR THE CEREMONY & SPEECHES?
For the ceremony we use Lav mics to capture the audio for both the Bride and Groom, as well the officiator. Don’t worry you won’t have any wires showing, it’s discreet. It also won’t interfere with any signals coming from your DJ. It’s all internally recorded. If you wish to not use a Lav mic we have other options as well. We record the toasts by plugging directly into the DJ's soundboard. Finally, we record the audio for the ceremony and the speeches. We usually have multiple backups as well
No, we've found it works much better to put a Lav mic on the groom only. This Lav can pick up the audio from both the bride and groom during the ceremony at a clear crisp quality. We also put a lav mic on the officiant as a backup. There may be moments where the audio is provided by the wedding venue facilitators on large speakers. We generally check into this well before the day of your event and we will coordinate everything with your wedding planner or the DJ.
WILL YOU GET IN THE WAY A LOT?
DO YOU ONLY BOOK WEDDINGS?
No, we also book engagements, quinceañeras, love stories, birthdays, Sweet 16 events, wedding vow renewals, and many more. Contact us for more information and pricing. We can also work with your coordinator to plan how we can make your day very special.
Our team is organized and professional and, we do our best to blend in on your wedding day. We don’t setup tripods in the middle of the aisle or leave piles of gear all over the place. Our hope is that you would notice us about as much as you would notice your photographer.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU GET SICK AND CAN’T MAKE IT?
HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING DO I GET MY BASE FILM?
For one, in the entire 24 years of being in business this has NEVER happened. We’ve never once missed a wedding for any reason ever. Now, if this were to happen for some reason, we’d contact you right away and see if we could find a fitting replacement last minute. You’d get a 100% refund and help coordinating any necessary accommodations.
This can vary, but normally the turn around time is 7-12 weeks for the base film and 9-15 weeks for everything else. Sometimes It’s a lot quicker, but it just depends on where in the year your wedding lands and the amount of backlog we have.
We make every effort to get your video to you in a timely manner and as always if you have any questions
what kinds of cameras do you use?
WHAT KIND OF PREPARATION DO you DO BEFORE A WEDDING?
We use several different types of cameras to capture your day. Our primary cameras are a RED 6K cinema camera, a 4K Canon cinema camera, and we also use 4K DSLR cameras, 4K drone cameras, and handheld cameras with stabilization control which allows us to capture smooth footage and creative angles. During the reception, we utilize camera stabilization mechanisms in all of our camera systems which provide smooth action shots.
We make a complete timeline with a couple about a month out. We inquire about various tasks such as the time the bride’s hair and makeup is set to begin and end, if they plan to exchange letters, first look, any other pictures before the ceremony like bridal party or family, what time the ceremony starts/how long will it be, when the grand entrance will be, special dances, and toasts.
